Thetawet™ FS-8235

Thetawet™ FS-8235 is a fluorosurfactant emulsion of 34% to 36% actives designed to deliver superior surface-tension reduction to water-based and solvent-based systems. By reducing the surface tension, this low-foaming, anionic surfactant enhances wetting, leveling, and flow properties of systems to improve coverage and minimize surface defects, such as cratering, pin holing, and poor thin film control. Its fluorinated structure also imparts improved block-resistance properties and reduces film tackiness to allow formulators to reduce additive levels of hydrophobic additives and open time extenders, for more efficient and cost-effective production. Thetawet™ FS-8235 is recommended for use at a level of 0.04% to 0.2% in water-based systems and a level of 0.2% to 0.6% in solventless or solvent-based systems. It can be used for application to difficult-to-wet surfaces, including plastics, glass, metals, oily substrates, waxy surfaces, and fluoropolymer-treated fabrics.
