The Ingevity Altapyne^® Distilled Tall Oil (DTO) are bio-based fatty acid fluids with high rosin content making it suitable for water-based metalworking fluid formulations, emulsifiable oils, semi-synthetic metalworking fluids and bases for alkyd resins. They provide reduced foam and improved hard water emulsion and lubrication for ease of formulation. These qualities extend the life of metal working fluids (MWF) by ensuring smoother cuts and less wear and tear on tools.
