Diakon® CTG830 is a toughened PMMA compound with a high level of an impact modifier. It imparts strong impact strength for injection molded and extruded parts.
Diakon® CTG830 is a tough polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) compound designed for extremely high impact resistance. Based on the Diakon® CMG302 polymer, it is compounded with a high level of an impact modifier for manufacturing acrylic parts that require strong impact durability and stiffness. Like other Diakon® grades, Diakon® CTG830 is highly transmissible to light and provides excellent optical properties that help create clear injection molded and extruded parts. Given its high impact resistance, Diakon® CTG830 is ideal for making stiffer parts such as automotive fascia and housings for lighting. It features a relatively low melt flow index compared to other grades, stemming from the level of impact modifier used. As such, this grade is recommended for filling molds that do not have issues with a higher-viscosity PMMA.
