Dianal MB-2543 is a n-butyl methacrylate copolymer resin with a low–molecular weight used for translucent or pigmented high solids low-VOC coatings and metal lacquers. It can be readily dissolved in a wide range of solvents and offers excellent substrate adhesion, durability, and solution clarity.
Dianal MB-2543 is a solid acrylic resin designed for formulating high solids, low-VOC performance coatings. As a n-butyl methacrylate copolymer, it is ideal for use in metal lacquer applications as a binder and film former. It is offered as solid beads that easily dissolves in ketones, esters, and glycol ethers. With a low molecular weight of 35,000 and a moderate transition temperature of 47°C, Dianal MB-2543 is ideal to create higher solids formulations by imparting lower solution viscosities. It forms durable films on a wide range of metal substrates, providing exceptional clarity and outstanding resistance to UV and heat.
