Overview
SilForce™ SS4331 is a solvent based solution of dimethyl siloxane polymers and it is used as the base polymer in a 3 part release coating system applied to paper, foil, and plastic substrates. This system also includes a platinum catalyst (SilForce™ SS8010), and a cross-linking curative (SilForce™ SS4300C). The SilForce™ SS4331 release coating system provides excellent adhesion to plastic substrates, premium release qualities, and can be cured relatively quickly at low temperatures. For these reasons it is commonly used in tape and label applications to allow for the easy and controlled release of pressure sensitive adhesives.
