Overview
SilGrip™ SR500 is a solvent-based primer used to improve the adhesion of pressure-sensitive adhesives onto difficult-to-bond materials, such as metal and silicone rubber.
SilGrip™ SR500 may be applied through various conventional coating methods, including roll coating, spraying, or brushing. This primer cures at room temperature through a moisture-curing process. In most instances, a 30-minute drying time is adequate for use. In some instances, it may take up to 24 hours to fully cure. SilGrip™ SR500 is often used as a primer in assembly applications such as bonding silicone panels or gaskets to various other substrates.
