Niaproof® Anionic Surfactant 08 (NAS08) is an excellent wetting agent for use in various household, industrial, and agricultural applications. It is DFE approved and is featured with excellent stability in the presence of acids, alkalis, and chlorinated solutions.
The highly versatile alcohol sulfate surfactant offers high solubilizing power in electrolytes as well as wetting, dispersing, penetrating, spreading, emulsifying, and detergent properties. They perform well in high and low-pH environments and are formaldehyde-free and biodegradable.
Niaproof® 08 (NAS-08) is an anionic surfactant that is based on sodium 2-Ethylhexyl Sulfate (2-EHS). It is an excellent additive for improved wetting and penetration, especially in strong acid and alkaline solutions. It is also highly stable in concentrated bleaching solutions. A dosage of 0.25-0.75% is recommended for initial trials of Niaproof® 08.
Niaproof® 08 superior wetting and penetration make it an excellent choice performance enhancer in a variety of cleaning formulations. It is also used in coatings, laminated flooring, inks, metal finishing, electronic cleaners, and much more.
In Pharmaceuticals, Niaproof® enhances the bactericidal properties of common antiseptics, particularly acidic ones. Their surface activity and wetting power are useful in such applications. It provides rapid fixing of histological specimens, increases the efficiency of tuberculosis antiseptic solutions, and enhances the activity of penicillin when it is used as a topical remedy. Niaproof® Anionic Surfactant 08 is important in penicillin manufacture for breaking undesired emulsions.

Niacet Niaproof® Anionic Surfactants are highly versatile alcohol sulfates. Niacet Niaproof® 08 is the first and only CleanGredients®-recognized 2-ethylhexyl sulfate product on the market.
We are pleased to announce that Niacet Niaproof® Anionic Surfactant 08 has been granted CleanGredients® certification by U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. CleanGredients® formulation ingredients are approved for use in thousands of products with the Design for Environment (DfE) label.
NIAPROOF® 08 is an anionic surfactants from Niacet that provides excellent wetting performance in a variety of applications including agriculture, farming, household and industrial cleaning applications.
Anionic surfactants are a major class of surfactants characterized by their negatively charged hydrophilic heads. These surface-active agents have a hydrophobic (water-fearing) moiety (such as alkyl, alkenyl, or aryl groups) and a hydrophilic (water-loving) anionic group, which can include functional groups like sulfate, sulfonate, and carboxylate.
