SP-560 is a thermoplastic rosin-phenolic resin mainly used as a biobased tackifier in various types of adhesive formulations
SP-560 is a biobased tackifier that facilitates the bonding of adhesives to polar and nonpolar substrates. It also provides improved surface wetting, high tackiness, high-heat performance, and peel resistance. SP-560 lowers the viscosity, increases open time, and is suitable for color-sensitive applications.
SP-560 is also used in hot-melt adhesives to provide stable operating viscosity, even at high temperatures. It also provides fast setting to adhesive formulations with a high level of bond strength due to its narrow molecular range and high softening point.
