Silane coated ammonium polyphosphate
PhosGard APP-SC is a fine particle crystal phase II modified Ammonium Polyphosphate with phosphorus content ≥30% and Nitrogen content ≥12% . The nitrogen present in PhosGard APP-SC aids in char formation and hence acts as an intumescent flame retardant. PhosGard APP-SC is effective as a non-halogenated flame retardant in water based coatings, polyurethanes, thermosets and polyolefins.
