HiTEC® 3435A CVT Fluid Additive Package

HiTEC® 3435A technology from Afton Chemical is a premium performance additive for formulating continuously variable transmission fluid (CVT fluid). This additive package is designed with a balanced and precise formulation of components, including friction modifiers, anti-wear agents, anticorrosion agents, and viscosity modifiers, to meet the complex needs of CVT transmission fluid. Unlike other automatic transmissions, continuously variable transmissions operate with a belt (or chain link) and pulley system. The steel-on-steel contact between the belt and pulleys in a CVT creates unique frictional requirements for the transmission fluid. HiTEC® 3435A additive provides long-term friction durability to critical belt and chain systems within the CVT to prevent transmission shudder and gear slip. The excellent torque capacity and anti-shudder performance offer a more comfortable driving experience and extend transmission life and drain intervals. Additionally, this CVT additive provides extreme-pressure and anti-wear performance to prevent excessive wear on metal surfaces, noise and vibration, and premature failure. It demonstrates superior oxidation stability to extend fluid life and excellent seal compatibility to prevent transmission leaks. HiTEC® 3435A additive is suitable for use in a wide range of CVT vehicles in API Group III base oil, reducing operating costs and simplifying blending for oil marketers. It also shows exceptional performance in Bosch Belt Box and JASO M349 CVT vehicle tests.
