Overview
HiTEC® 398 premium gear oil additive package is used for formulating automotive fluids for standard axles and limited-slip traction control. It can be used in formulations utilizing mineral oil or synthetic base stocks. The performance additive delivers excellent thermal and oxidative stability to the fluid, extending the relubrication cycle without sacrificing protection. It is compatible with common elastomer seals to prevent leaks, and it is nonstaining on copper alloys. Lubricants blended in suitable base oils with HiTEC® 398 additive can meet the specification requirements of API GL-4 and GL-5, drain-and-fill and top-off limited slip, and ZF TE-ML 07A and TE-ML 08.
