HiTEC® 363 additive package provides robust performance for formulating heavy-duty manual transmission fluids (MTFs) with extended drain intervals up to 500,000 miles. It is suitable for mineral and synthetic oils, allowing for wide base oil flexibility. The additive also provides exceptional low-temperature performance for reliable operation in cold climates. It has high lubricity to protect critical components and will not corrode or stain yellow metals. HiTEC® 363 additive is compatible with a wide range of elastomers, protecting seals and preventing deterioration and leaks. Its high oxidative and heat stability prevents deposit buildup, permitting longer fluid life and drain intervals.
When blended in suitable base stocks at recommended treat rates, a transmission fluid using HiTEC® 363 additive can meet the following requirements:

Heavy-duty manual transmission fluids are exposed to high temperatures and high loads, which can result in sludge and varnish formation on transmission components, deposit buildup in the oil, shortened drain intervals, and reduced shifting performance. Without effective corrosion inhibitors, these fluids can corrode or damage sensitive yellow alloys, such as copper and brass. If cold-temperature performance is poor, manual transmission fluids are prone to gel or freeze, leading to difficult shifting, gear slippage, damaged parts, or costly transmission failure.
