Primary Chemistry:
Halocarbon® 27 Oil is a multifunctional PCTFE lubricating oil from Halocarbon formulated with a viscosity of 27 cSt at 37.8°C.
Halocarbon® 27 Oil is a high-performance polychlorotrifluoroethylene (PCTFE) fluid formulated as part of Halocarbons line of reactive gas lubricants. It is valued for its excellent lubricity, high thermal stability, and low compressibility characteristics. Formulated using a specialty controlled polymerization process, Halocarbon® 27 has a unique molecular structure and is chemically inert, nonflammable, nonhazardous, and nonreactive to aggressive chemicals, such as oxygen, chlorine, fluorine, and more. This lubricating oil can be used over a wide temperature range of -100°C to 200°C, maintaining stability in demanding conditions and providing excellent heat transfer, lubricity, and sealing properties. Compared to other fluorinated oils, Halocarbon® 27 offers a more cost-effective option for a range of applications, including aerospace, chemical manufacturing, reactive gas services, inert instrument fill fluids, and more.
