Primary Chemistry:
MSXT is a polychlorotrifluoroethylene (PCTFE) (CAS No. 9002-83-9) barrier fluid with a low seal face velocity and excellent lubrication in various temperature conditions.
MSXT is a high-viscosity fluorinated barrier fluid engineered for demanding sealing and lubrication systems where elevated temperatures and low seal face velocities can challenge conventional seals. Formulated with a high-quality polychlorotrifluoroethylene (PCTFE, CAS No. 9002-83-9) base, it delivers excellent thermal stability, chemical inertness, and oxidation resistance, helping maintain consistent performance under aggressive process conditions and withstand both high and low processing temperatures. MSXT is nontoxic, nonreactive, nonflammable, and chemically inert, making it suitable for use in mechanical seals used in hazardous chemical processes and operations and in applications across various other industries, including petroleum refining, pulp and paper, natural gas processing, and others. All Halocarbon® barrier fluids are also available with anticorrosion additives upon request at no extra charge.
