Elvacite™ 2009 is a acrylic resin composed of methyl methacrylate and ethyl acrylate. It has good solubility and is one of the more flexible resins in the methyl methacrylate line of Elvacite™ resins. When formulated into a coating Elvacite™ 2009 produces clear, durable films with outstanding barrier properties. Coatings based on this resin are abrasion resistant, chemical resistant, and will not yellow due to UV exposure. Elvacite™ 2009 can also be used to formulate structural adhesives that have excellent outdoor durability.
