POLYOX™ WSR 301 Fine Powder NF has same characteristic as POLYOX™ WSR 301, except this grade is pharma compliant.
POLYOX™ WSR 301 is a polyethylene oxide with a viscosity of 1650 - 5500 cP.
It is widely used as binder, lubricant, thickener and water retention aid. They form flexible, and tough film which are resistant to oils and greases. The viscoelastic properties enable reduction of spattering and misting. Due to its thermoplasticity PEOs can be extruded, injection molded or casted.
Most common applications are ceramics, industrial cleaning products, electronics, mining, paper and adhesives.
Viscosity: 1650 - 5500 cP
pH at 25degC: 8.0 - 10.0
Loss on drying: 0.0 - 1.0 WT%
Silicon dioxide: 0.8 - 3.0 WT%
High binding efficiency
Manufacturer: DuPont | Product Line: Polyox Water-Soluble Resins | Package Sizes:
Antimicrobial preservative (sodium pyrithione) used in a variety of water-based functional fluids and coatings to protect against micro-organisms.
Sodium Pyrion is highly effective against micro-organisms. Often used in water based fluids such as metal working, hydraulic, industrial lubricants, and water based latex paint applications. The pyrithione chemistry is often used when stability and low leachability is critical. Able to be used in low doses, reduces treatment costs and can be used in post treatment or metalworking fluid concentrates.
Appearance: Clear, yellow-brown liquid
Specific Density: 1.10 - 1.24 g/ml
pH-value : 1.19 - 1.24 g/ml
Molecular weight: 149.15
Thermal stability: 250°C
CAS number: 3811-73-2
Low treat rates
Non-leaching results with long term protection
Ease of application in aqueous form
Due to the effectiveness at low treat rates, Sodium Pyrion saves formulators time and money by gaining more antimicrobial effectiveness, while using less.
