Overview
HiTEC® 082 is an alkylated sulfone-based seal swell additive for use in formulating a wide variety of industrial and automotive lubricants. This lubricant additive component demonstrates excellent seal swell performance in a broad range of oil applications to prevent seal hardening or shrinking. HiTEC® 082 seal swell additive is highly polar and relatively inert in most solvents. HiTEC® 082 seal swell agent can also be used in lubricant oils and greases to improve additive solubility.

Applications
HiTEC® 082 is recommended between 0.5% wt. and 1.5% wt. in lubricants blended with group II, III or IV base oil. The treat rate will vary depending on the application, base oil, and necessary elastomer compatibility. HiTEC® is a registered trademark of Afton Chemical Corporation.
