Overview
CelChem CELOGEN® AZ-120 is a chemical foaming agent that produces a fine, uniform closed-cell structure. This grade has a relatively high decomposition temperature and small particle size. CELOGEN® AZ-120 is compatible with polymer systems such as rubber, vinyl, styrenics, thermoplastic elastomers, engineering plastics, and polyolefins, such as high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and low-density polyethylene (LDPE).
CELOGEN® AZ-120 can be catalyzed by a variety of chemicals, including strong activators, such as zinc oxide, zinc stearate, and ACTICELL® U; moderate activators, such as barium stearate, calcium stearate, citric acid, and triethanolamine; and weak activators, such as adipic acid, benzoic acid, salicylic acid, and calcium oxide.
