Viton™ VC-3 is a blocked diamine cross-linking agent used to cure A, B, and E types of Viton™ fluoroelastomers.
Viton™ VC-3, formerly known as Diak-3, is a blocked diamine cross-linking agent used to cure A, B, and E types of Viton™ fluoroelastomers. It is engineered to enhance processing safety and provides a plasticizing effect on vulcanizates, making it ideal for demanding elastomer applications.
The main difference between the Viton™ VC process agents is in processing safety. Products cured with Viton™ VC-3 provide excellent processing safety and exhibit some plasticizing effect, while Viton™ VC-1 offers the best compression set and physical properties. In addition, cures for Viton™ A, B, and E types of fluoroelastomers are produced with roughly 3 phr of Viton™ VC-3.
