Beta-Carotene 10% DG is a nature-identical, free-flowing, microencapsulated beadlet powder standardized to 10% beta-carotene. This water-dispersible grade can be used as a light-yellow-to-orange coloring agent and for provitamin A fortification in various water-based foods and beverages.
This 10% water-dispersible grade comes in a microencapsulated beadlet form. Beta-carotene particles are finely dispersed in a matrix of non-GMO modified corn starch and corn oil. Tocopherols and sodium ascorbate are added as antioxidants to help main product quality. The coating contains white particles of corn starch, which may be visible but do not affect the product quality. In application, this grade results in a light-yellow-to-orange color.

This grade is not intended for soft gels and capsules.
A stock solution can be prepared by slowly adding the desired quantity of powder to cold or warm water under continuous agitation.
