Overview
Galacid Industrial 88 YC is a yellowish, syrupy, and hygroscopic lactic acid specifically designed for industrial applications. This product is not appropriate for human consumption and should not be used in food applications. Industrial-grade lactic acid provides an effective, bio-based acid for a variety of non-food applications. In water treatment, it serves as a pH adjuster and descaling agent. In cleaning formulations, it provides effective removal of scale and mineral deposits. The CAS number for this product (50-21-5) reflects its racemic (DL) lactic acid composition, distinguishing it from the food-grade forms. As a product derived from the fermentation of renewable raw materials, Galacid Industrial 88 YC offers a greener alternative to petroleum-based or mineral acids in industrial processes.
