Low strength of investment casting molds that lead to defects in the casted product
Inefficiencies of formulating a binder for investment casting applications
LUDOX® SK is typically used as a binder for face coat slurries in precision investment casting. The surfactant in the formulation allows for excellent adhesion to wax molds. LUDOX® SK is free from sodium and, as such, is highly stable at extreme temperatures used in the casting process. It provides improved green strength and added durability to ceramic molds.
