Overview
Momentive performance Silopren™ LSR 4635 SL two-series, self-lubricating liquid silicone rubber grade offers enhanced lubricity in healthcare applications requiring a high-slip surface that can be achieved in traditional silicone elastomer molded parts. After vulcanization, Momentive performance two-component elastomer solution experiences low compression set without postcuring. It also delays lubricant surface bloom to avoid fouling and self-healing of slit valves. Silopren™ LSR 4635 SL benefits injection molding manufacturers who require improved productivity and lubricating performance for molded elastomer parts.
Features & Benefits
- Longer lubricating performance that eliminates the requirement for secondary lubrication incorporated into the process
- Reduced self-healing in valve slits
- Delayed lubricant surface bloom that creates efficiency while avoiding mold fouling
- Improved slip surface that reduces the coefficient of friction (COF)
- Easy to color
- Excellent resistance to aging
- Low compression set without postcure
- Approved for use in healthcare molded silicone elastomer applications
