Epoxidized Polydimethylsiloxane
SilForce™ UV9400 is a linear polydimethylsiloxane polymer with epoxy functionality. It is used in combination with a photocatalyst as a UV curable release coating for tapes and label. It provides easy, stable release of most acrylic and rubber pressure sensitive adhesives, and can be applied to many common liner materials like paper, polyethylene, PET, and polypropylene. SilForce™ UV9400 can be applied using traditional solventless laminating techniques and does not require an inerting chamber. The viscosity of SilForce™ UV9400 is lower than other SilForce™ polymers and allows for increased penetration into paper substrates. Because it is UV curable it is ideal for use on thermally sensitive materials.
