Primary Chemistry:
Diallyl / Dibutylmaleate
SilForce™ SL5040 is a curative inhibitor based on dibutyl maleate and maleic acid diallylester. It is designed to be used in the SilForce™ SL5000 series release coating system to extend bath life and increase cure time. Converters must optimize the cure rate of the release coating system to match the parameters of the coating process. When used in combination with SilForce™ SL5010 platinum catalyst, SilForce™ SL5040 allows for complete control over the rate of cure, minimum cure temperature, and coating bath life. Typical preparation of the coating bath calls for a level of SilForce™ 5040 that is 2-2.5% of the catalyst level.
