SilGrip™ SRC18
SilGrip™ SRC18 is a catalyst used with SilGrip™ pressure-sensitive adhesives to promote room-temperature curing.
SilGrip™ SRC18 is an amino alkoxy silane liquid catalyst that initiates condensation cure of SilGrip™ pressure-sensitive adhesives. While SilGrip™ SRC18 may be used with any SilGrip™ adhesive, it is specifically recommended for use with SilGrip™ PSA529 and SilGrip™ PSA6573A in laminating and bonding applications to allow the adhesive to cure at room temperature. Typically, adhesives like PSA529 and PSA6573A rapidly cure using chemicals such as organic peroxides to create tapes and labels. Using SilGrip™ SRC18 enables PSA529 and PSA6573A to be used as contact adhesives directly in assembly applications. Therefore, SilGrip™ SRC18 is not recommended for manufacturing tapes, as it will continue to react with the polymer over time.
