SANHIBITOR NO.50 is an amine-type non-ionic surfactant-based rust inhibitor specially recommended for effective corrosion protection of ferrous metal surfaces, such as cast iron and steel. It creates a protective barrier on metal surfaces by absorbing into metals and preventing harmful oxidation that leads to rust and corrosion. This organic inhibitor is especially suitable for water-based systems due to its excellent water solubility. It is therefore recommended for direct application to metal surfaces after dilution with water or addition to water-based coolants and metalworking oils. It provides a range of other benefits, including low foaming tendencies and excellent resistance to heat and alkaline solutions.
