Solus™ 5375 is a lower-viscosity cellulose-based additive that improves the durability and visual quality of wood coatings.
Solus™ 5375 is a cellulose-based additive designed for wood coatings and lacquers to enhance appearance and durability. Compared to other Solus™ wood coating additives, Solus™ 5375 imparts relatively lower viscosity to formulations. When added to wood coatings, it helps improve flow and leveling properties that prevent surface defects such as orange peel and cratering. It also helps the film resist yellowing due to UV exposure. Solus™ 5375 is also soluble in a very broad range of solvents used in wood coating formulations, forming films with high clarity and imparting no color. These properties help Solus™ 5375 create coatings with high visual quality. Solus™ 5375 also helps improve dry times by rapidly building viscosity upon cure, decreasing dry times and increasing early cure durability.
