Overview
BONDERITE® L-MR B 204 is a bio-resistant, medium-oil-content, semi-synthetic coolant designed for machining and grinding on ferrous and most aluminum alloys. It is excellent for light-duty nonferrous machining and medium-duty ferrous machining operations where lubricity, bio-resistance, cleanliness, and cooling are critical. BONDERITE® L-MR B 204 is ideal for areas where moderate water quality (100 - 300 ppm hardness) or process requirements make foam difficult to control.

Problems Solved
Water quality can affect machining operations, as emulsified coolants not formulated to withstand hard or soft water can split or form excessive foam, reducing fluid life and performance. In water-based machining and grinding fluids, bacterial growth and fouling are also a concern. Bacteria can degrade the lubricant, reducing lubricity and cooling efficiency, accelerating corrosion, and causing stinky odors.
