Primary Chemistry:
Halocarbon® 0.8 Oil is a low-molecular-weight chlorotrifluoroethylene (PCTFE) polymer formulated by Halocarbon to provide exceptional performance and stability.
Halocarbon® 0.8 Oil is a premium, inert lubricating oil (CAS No. 9002-83-9) made from PCTFE, engineered for a wide range of demanding applications. It contains a specialty low-molecular-weight polymer of chlorotrifluoroethylene developed using a highly controlled polymerization process and delivers exceptional thermal heat transfer and low-temperature stability, maintaining a very low viscosity in extreme cold, down to -100°C. This fluid is nonflammable, nonhazardous, and chemically inert, offering a safer alternative to traditional fluids such as alcohols, silicon oils, and mineral oils. Halocarbon® 0.8 Oil resists water adsorption and minimizes electrical leakage, preventing unwanted changes in physical, chemical, and electrical properties during calibration. Halocarbon® 0.8 Oil is suitable for use in various applications, including reactive gas service, aerospace lubricants, hydraulic fluids, low-temperature baths, and more.
