Primary Chemistry:
Halocarbon® 1.8 Oil is a high-performance reactive gas lubricant with a low viscosity of 1.8 cSt at 37.8°C.
Halocarbon® 1.8 Oil is a low-viscosity, synthetic polychlorotrifluoroethylene (PCTFE) fluid produced by controlled polymerization and engineered for applications requiring chemically inert, nonflammable lubrication performance in reactive or demanding operating environments. With a viscosity of 1.8 cSt at 37.8°C and a density of 1.82 g/mL, this water-white fluid provides excellent lubricity, extreme thermal stability, and low compressibility across a wide temperature range. Halocarbon® 1.8 Oil is safe for use with various reactive gases, such as chlorine, oxygen, and other aggressive gases. Its low pour point of -93°C facilitates reliable performance in aerospace, cryogenic, nuclear, and other low-temperature applications. Halocarbon® 1.8 Oil is also available with anticorrosion additives upon request.
