Overview
HiTEC® 008 is a performance seal swell additive for a variety of industrial and automotive lubricant applications. HiTEC® 008 is based on adipate ester and demonstrates outstanding seal swell performance. HiTEC® 008 helps improve adverse effects on equipment seals from certain base fluids, especially synthetic polyalphaolefin (PAO) oil which tends to shrink seals.
HiTEC® 008 also acts as a secondary pour point depressant for cold weather operation and improves solubility for other additive components.

Applications
HiTEC® 008 seal swell agent is recommended at dosages of 1.0 to 15.0 wt% in lubricant formulation depending on the base oil and application. HiTEC® 008 is intended to be used as a seal swell agent in a variety of industrial and automotive lubricants, including hydraulic fluids, gear oil, circulating fluids, engine oil, grease, aftermarket transmission fluid additives, and lubricants formulated with synthetic, PAO base fluid.
