HiTEC® 152 is a PIB-based tackifier additive that improves tackiness and adhesion in a variety of lubricating oil and grease formulations.
HiTEC® 152 is a polymer-based tackifier additive for use in formulating a wide range of lubricating oil and greases. This tackifier is a high molecular weight, polyisobutene (PIB) polymer in mineral oil. HiTEC®152 tackifier can be added to a variety of oils and greases to improve lubricant retention, surface adhesion, and film thickness.
HiTEC® 152 tackifier is compatible with all soap types in grease applications, and can reduce water spray-off and extend grease longevity. HiTEC® 152 tackifier can also be added to oil delivered via misting system to reduce the tendency of oil to “fog."

Typical treat rates for lubricating oils and greases are between 0.5% to 2.0% wt. depending on the application and needed performance.
Additional non-lubricant applications for HiTEC® 152 tackifier include paints, sealants, adhesives, preservative oils, and other oil-based applications where excellent surface adhesion is required.
