Tenox™ food-grade antioxidants inhibit the destructive oxidation process of fats and oils, preventing deterioration of flavor and aroma, extending product shelf life, and ensuring that products reach the consumer in optimal condition. Tenox grades feature a base chemistry of either tertiary butylhydroquinone (TBHQ), butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA), or butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT), and are also available as blends utilizing these compounds. Common applications include cereals and snack foods, packaging materials, highly unsaturated vegetable oils, pet foods, cosmetics, and vitamins.
Tenox™ 20 food-grade antioxidant is 20% tertiary-butylhydroquinone and 10% citric acid in a medium of propylene glycol. It has high efficacy in highly unsaturated vegetable oils and edible animal fats.
Tenox™ 4B food-grade antioxidant is 20% butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA) in a medium of corn oil. The solution provides an easy to use solution already dispersed in an oil.
Tenox™ 25 food-grade antioxidant is 10% butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT), 10% tertiary-butylhydroquinone (TBHQ), and citric acid in a medium of corn oil, propylene glycol and glycerides.
Tenox™ 21 food-grade antioxidant is 20% tertiary-butylhydroquinone and 1% citric acid in a medium of corn oil, propylene glycol, and glycerides. It has high efficacy in highly unsaturated vegetable oils and edible animal fats.
