Galimax Flavor F-50 is a natural basil flavor in liquid form obtained by Galactic through fermentation and natural extraction. The basil extract gives traditional spicy flavors associated with homemade or small-batch products, making it an excellent choice for food manufacturers looking to add authentic herbal character to their formulations.
This liquid format is ideal for marinades, sauces, dressings, brines, and other liquid-based applications. The brown liquid has a mild herbal flavor and slight typical aroma. In addition to flavor enhancement, the natural basil extract provides antimicrobial properties that can contribute to shelf-life extension in ready meals, meat products, and other prepared foods.
The product has a dry matter content of 45 – 55% and should ideally be stored above 20°C (68°F) to prevent crystallization. If crystallization occurs, heating the product to 30°C will restore it to liquid form.
