Overview
Krytox™ GPL 225 Grade 3 is a white, food-grade PFPE-based grease with a PTFE thickener and additized sodium nitrite for enhanced corrosion, rust, and wear protection. Krytox™ GPL 225 Grade 3 is an NLGI Grade 3 grease used in a wide range of lubrication applications in the automotive and industrial markets, including but not limited to gears, bearings, valves, pumps, and seals.
Krytox™ GPL 225 Grade 3 is fully fluorinated and NSF H1 approved. It exhibits exceptional rust protection at ambient temperatures, corrosion protection at elevated temperatures, and anti-wear performance for metal-on-metal contact.
Krytox™ GPL 225 Grade 3 has a base oil viscosity of 160 centistokes at 40°C and is suitable for use in operating temperatures up to 204°C (400°F). Krytox™ GPL 225 Grade 3 is engineered with Krytox GPL105 PFPE oil with a medium molecular weight for enhanced lubrication performance at mid-range operating temperatures.
