Krytox™ XHT-BDX is an NLGI Grade 1.5 PFPE-based grease with a nonmelting thickener with very high thermal stability up to 350°C and spikes to 400°C. It has a base oil viscosity of 738 cSt at 40°C.

Overview
Krytox™ XHT-BDX Grease is a highly engineered PFPE performance lubricant recommended for applications that experience extremely high temperatures. Krytox™ XHT-BDX is made of a special nonmelting thickener and a PFPE base oil with a very low evaporation rate.
Krytox™ XHT-BDX is nonflammable, oxygen safe, and chemically inert. Krytox™ XHT-BDX Grease is designed for use at temperatures of 288°C (500°F) and higher, where there is a danger of melting a standard PTFE thickener.

Applications
Krytox™ XHT-BDX grease is a multipurpose solution, typically recommended for use in the following:
Low-speed bearings
High-temperature applications
Pillow housings
The oil in the grease can begin to evaporate slowly at temperatures above 350°C (626°F), and this will occur at an increasing rate as temperatures increase. It can withstand intermittent spikes up to 400°C (752°F). Relubrication could be required at these temperatures to achieve optimum life.
