Krytox™ XHT-BDZ Grease
Krytox™ XHT-BDZ is an NLGI Grade 1.5 PFPE-based grease with an added nonmelting thickener providing very high thermal stability up to 360°C, with internal spikes upwards of 400°C. It has a high base oil viscosity of 1,023 cSt at 40°C.

Overview
Krytox™ XHT-BDZ Grease is the highest-viscosity lubricant within the XHT-BD series, with a base oil viscosity of 1,023 cSt at 40°C. This perfluoropolyether-based (PFPE-based) lubricant contains a nonmelting thickener that can provide superior performance at higher temperatures than conventional alternatives where thickener melting becomes a concern (up to 360°C and spikes upwards of 400°C).
Krytox™ XHT-BDZ also provides excellent wet-out on metallic surfaces due to low surface tension properties and does not interact with metal surfaces due to its chemical inertness. These properties help extend lubrication intervals and the equipment life of your system in a variety of industries, including metal processing, energy generation, and textiles.

Applications
Krytox™ XHT-BDZ high-temperature grease should be used in the following:
Low-speed bearings
Pillow housings
Keyboard stabilizers
Wire stabilizer lubricants
The base oil in Krytox™ XHT-BDZ can slowly evaporate at temperatures above 360°C (680°F), and this evaporation will increase as temperatures increase. It can withstand intermittent spikes upwards of 400°C (752°F). Relubrication could be required at these temperatures to achieve optimum life.
