HiTEC® 312G extreme-pressure performance additive is designed for formulating grease with high load-carrying capabilities.
HiTEC® 312G additive contains a high concentration of sulfur for grease applications requiring extreme-pressure performance and high load-carrying capability. The sulfurized iso-butylene technology is compatible with most common grease thickener systems, including lithium and lithium complex soap. It also demonstrates low reactivity with copper alloys. Additionally, HiTEC® 312G additive shows synergistic performance with anti-wear additive technologies like zinc dialkyldithiophosphate (ZDDP).

In highly loaded grease applications, metal-on-metal contact, friction, and wear can occur without effective extreme-pressure additives. Sulfur-based chemistries are commonly used as extreme-pressure agents, but many technologies have low sulfur content and activity or react with yellow metals, causing staining and corrosion.
