Acesulfame potassium, or Ace-K, is a high-intensity, non-nutritive, sulfoamide sweetener in a similar class as sodium saccharin and cyclamate. Ace-K was developed in Germany under the brand Sunett® and has been approved for use in the United States since 1988.
