BIOBAN™ 200 Antimicrobial is a low-VOC dichloro-octylisothiazolinone (DCOIT) dry film preservative and antimicrobial additive that provides fungal and mold protection to paints, coatings, and building materials.
BIOBAN™ 200 Antimicrobial is a dry film preservative for protecting paint films, coatings, and building materials. It is based on 4,5-dichloro-2-n-octyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one, the same active ingredient as in the well-proven ROZONE™ 2000.
BIOBAN™ 200 offers excellent protection against fungi, algae, and mold growth, making it an excellent choice for both exterior and interior applications. It also displays activity against bacteria, boosting the performance of in-can preservatives.
BIOBAN™ 200 Antimicrobial is a flowable dispersion primarily designed for low-VOC and water-based formulations. It can also be used in solvent-based systems depending on compatibility with the final product. Its broad-spectrum activity, improved ease of formulation, and versatility make it suitable for a wide variety of coating formulations and building materials. In principle, the product can be added to paint at any point in the preparation process.
