AMICAL™ 48 is an in-can and dry film fungicide based on 95% active diiodomethyl-p-tolylsulfone. It is an active antifungal agent that is extremely effective over a broad pH range (2–11).
AMICAL™ 48 from LANXESS is a broad-spectrum antimicrobial preservative based on the active diiodomethyl-p-tolylsulfone, which is useful for controlling microbial degradation in a multitude of product applications.
AMICAL™ 48 is EPA registered for use in adhesives, paper coatings, plastics, tanned leather, caulks, metalworking fluids, textiles, coatings, and wood preservation. AMICAL™ has FDA clearances in the US for several indirect food contact applications. It is not dermally irritating and is available in easy-to-use liquid and powder forms.
