Krytox™ GPL 222 is a PFPE-based grease engineered with a PTFE thickener and additized sodium nitrite for improved anticorrosion performance. It is commonly used in a broad variety of applications within the automotive and industrial markets. GPL 222 exhibits exceptional rust protection at ambient temperatures, corrosion protection at high temperatures, and anti-wear performance.
Krytox™ GPL 222 has a base oil viscosity of 15 centistokes at 40°C and is suitable for use in applications up to 132°C (270°F).
Krytox™ GPL 222 is a white buttery grease with all the same chemical properties as the Krytox™ GPL 102 oil it is made from. GPL 222 has a lower molecular weight of the base PFPE oil, which improves functionality at lower temperatures for specific applications.
Unsafe or flammable grease chemistries
