Tyzor 212 is a clear, slightly viscous yellow liquid with 52% active ingredient which is stable in water for extended periods. It reacts with water by hydrolysis to form a reactive hydroxy zirconium chelate which can form bonds with organic -OH and -COOH groups of many polymeric carbohydrates such as cellulose, guar derivatives and starch. Strong gels can be formed by crosslinking. Tyzor 212 can also act as an adhesion promoter to -OH functional surfaces.
