Overview
HITEC® 5756 additive is an olefin copolymer viscosity index improver (OCP VII) intended for crankcase and industrial oil formulation. Because of its excellent low-temperature performance, HITEC® 5756 olefin copolymer is particularly well suited for medium-speed diesel engine oils. It is also a cost-effective solution with wide base oil compatibility.

Problems Solved
Engine oils are usually exposed to wide temperature ranges, impacting the viscosity of the base oil. Without effective viscosity modifiers, viscosity changes can negatively impact lubricity and engine performance. At cold temperatures, engine oils with inadequate pour point depressant technology are susceptible to thickening or gelling. Brands must also balance cost and performance to remain competitively priced in the engine oil market.
