TEXTURECEL™ 20000 PA 07 is a high purity sodium carboxymethyl cellulose polymer that is used as a binder in lithium ion battery electrodes.
TEXTURECEL™ 20000 PA 07 is a sodium carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) with a high molecular weight and lower carboxy substitution than standard TEXTURECEL™ grades.
This high purity powder is used as a thickener and binder in welding and lithium ion battery electrode production.
As a binder for welding electrodes, TEXTURECEL™ 20000 PA 07 provides improved green strength as well as improved lubrication during extrusion.
This reduces the number of defects while also reducing the wear and tear on extrusion equipment.
In Lithium Ion Batteries, TEXTURECEL™ 20000 PA 07 is well suited as a binder for anodes.
It provides improved mechanical integrity, better adhesion to current collectors, and optimal dispersion of conductive material.
In addition, TEXTURECEL™ 20000 PA 07 is water soluble and does not require the use of hazardous solvents that traditional polymeric electrode binders do.
This makes it a much safer and eco-friendly option than other common electrode binders like PVDF.
