CP 349W is a dispersion of chlorinated polypropylene in water. It is used as an adhesion promoter for waterborne coatings, inks, and adhesives applied to polyolefin-based substrates.
CP 349W is a waterborne adhesion promoter designed for waterborne coatings, paints, inks, and adhesives applied to polyolefin-based substrates like polypropylene and TPO. It is also a useful adhesion-promoting additive for nonplastic substrates like metal. This dispersion of chlorinated polypropylene contains 2-amino-2-methyl-1-propanol as a neutralizing amine, making it more compatible with waterborne resins and thus useful as a stir-in additive. CP 349W also contains 5% ethylene glycol solvent to improve the freeze resistance of the adhesion promoter.
This polyolefin adhesion promoter is compatible with most waterborne preneutralized dispersion resins and many amine-neutralizable solution resins. CP 349W excels as an adhesion promoter with polyurethane dispersion resins and is very effective with acrylic dispersion resins.
