BIOBAN™ BTCM is an EPA approved in-can preservative for exceptional protection against bacteria and fungi. BTCM is excellent for use in paints, coatings, inks, minerals slurries, and building materials.
BIOBAN™ BTCM is a dual active biocide that is based on a combination of Benzisothiazolinone (BIT) and Methylchloroisothiazolinone/ Methylisothiazolinone (CMIT/MIT). This combination provides great formulation flexibility to deliver globally-accepted levels of actives without compromising performance and cost.
BIOBAN™ BTCM is supplied in a flowable aqueous dispersion and provides efficacy against bacteria and fungi at a low level of use. It also provides a robust balance between fast-acting and long-term preservation with stability across broad pH range and temperatures.
Appearance: Gray to slightly beige emulsion
Form: flowable aqueous dispersion
Composition: 10% BIT + 0.5% CMIT/MIT
Specific gravity: 0.98 – 1.08 mg/ml
