Overview
SilForce™ SS4044P is a one-component primer that improves the adhesion of RTV silicone to many substrates that are difficult to bond, such as galvanized metals, ceramics, porous surfaces, and wood. It is designed to be used with Momentive performance RTV silicone rubber adhesives and sealants. The SS4044P primer is ready to use as an easily applied solvent solution. It should be applied to a clean, dry surface by brushing, wiping, or dipping. A coating thickness of 0.5 mil should be targeted for optimal adhesion. SilForce™ SS4044P is a transparent solution that dries to form optically clear films. It is ideal for applications where surface discoloration is not desired.
