Pationic® 909 is a glycerol monostearate (GMS) with 99% monoglyceride and 1% triglycerides that offers the benefits of mold release, anti-fogging, anti-static, and dispersing.
Pationic® 909 is often used as an internal lubricant for PVC, PP, PE, and EPS processability, and can also be used as an anti-fogging, anti-static, and dispersing agent. This grade of glycerol monostearate (95% minimum monoester) is derived from vegetable oil and works as a polymer additive to support heat-stability conditions. As an EPS processing aid, Pationic® 909 is coated onto polystyrene beads prior to any pre-expansion process. The fine particle size of Pationic® 909 offers a more effective dispersant form by improving the blending pigments and colorants. For food-contact applications, this grade of monostearate offers broad FDA, Kosher, and Halal certifications.
